Whole Wheat Dates Cake
This scrumptious date cakes
recipe is perfect for a winter time tea snack.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 45 minutes
Ingredients:

1 cup chopped/deseeded dates ( Soaked in water for 4 to 6 hours)
·
1 ¼ cup
whole wheat flour/ Oats Flour
·
Flaxseed powder one 1 TBSP (Soaked in water for 5 minutes)
·
Milk
·
Cocoa powder 2 TBSP
·
Raisins ( Green and Black )
·
Coconut Oil ¼ cup
·
½ tsp baking soda
·
½ tsp baking powder
·
Vanilla Essence 1 TBSP (Optional)
Step by step guide:
1.
In a mixing bowl add soaked dates and mash it until
it becomes a fine paste. You can also blend the mixture in an electric grinder.
2.
Add coconut oil, cocoa and flaxseed powder. Mix
all ingredients well until you get a smooth consistency.
3.
Slowly add wheat four while continuing the
mixing. Add milk if required. Make a smooth cake baker. Make sure the batter is
not very thick or vey runny.
4.
Add raisins and finely chopped dates. Adding raisins
and dates only to increase the sugar in cake as we have not included sugar in
this cake.
5.
Add
seeds/nuts of your choice (Optional)
6.
Layer a baking tin with butte paper and grease
it with coconut oil.
7.
Transfer the cake batter to the baking tin and
bake it for 45 mins at 180 Degrees
8.
Cool the cake before you cut it into pieces.
Disclaimer: Even though the cake does not contains sugar, it
is still very high on claories so please be mindful of each serving.
